Points for prospective tenant to consider when leasing a property:

As a tenant renting through HLA you will incur NO CHARGES for the service we offer. We will do our utmost to find you a suitable home. Before the Tenancy can be offered to you we will require references from your bank, present employer, previous landlord and a character reference.

You will be required to pay one month's rent in advance along with one month's deposit before the keys of the property will be handed over. HLA will hold the deposit on your behalf and will refund it to you at the end of the lease providing you have complied with the terms and conditions of the lease.

On the day your tenancy commences we will along with you, check a previously compiled inventory that has been drafted by the landlord and ourselves, the inventory will also be checked at the end of your lease.

You will be required to contact where appropriate, the suppliers of gas, electricity and telephone provider and also notify the Council Tax authority that you are taking over the lease of the property. It is your responsibility to pay for any services used by you during the tenancy and to pay the Council Tax. During your tenancy we will contact you to make arrangements to view the property on the landlords behalf, this will happen on a 3 monthly basis.
